Default Flash 10 Can't See Existing Website

We have a client with a site that depends on Flash. Someone in our office
recently upgraded to Flash 10 and now he cannot see the Flash movies in the
client's site.

Is this a common problem?

How do we fix it?

Hi j1adobe

Have you uploaded the AC_RunActiveContent.js file to the site's directory?

Sketchsta,

We haven't. Is this something needed with Flashplayer 10?

Also, will the site still be visible to people who haven't upgraded their Flashplayer to version 10.

Sorry I miss-understood your last post. I thought you upgraded Flash not Flash
Player.

How is the flash content being displayed?
just a object and embed tag in the html code? or does it use
AC_RunActiveContent.js?

It uses object and embed tags in the html. I'm not at all familiar with
AC_RunActiveContent.js.

Doing a little more digging I found that my boss and our client cannot see
half the movie. At first I thought they were saying the whole thing didn't
work. (My boss is on a Mac, the client is using Windows.)

Plus, my boss can see all of our other sites that have a lot of Flash in them.
There has to be something in the way this movie was constructed or published
that the new player can't deal with.

Could be i guess, although im not familiar with any issues of that sort.
Double check that all the swf files are in the correct place, (linking with
the site correctly)
also, may want to re-upload the site to re-index all files.

Have you tested the site on your local machine? give that a go first, so to
try and narrow the causes down as much as possible.

Sketchsta,

It seems that the problem we are having is pretty common. Here is a link to an
article we found. It looks like there are going to be a bunch of sites that
will be needing some work here very soon.

Thanks for taking the time to help me out with this. I appreciate it.
