Default Not able to record voice with new Vista machine usingMacromedia Captivate 1

I've used Macromedia Captivate 1 (version 1.01.1418) for a long time and I just
installed it on my new Vista-based laptop (I used to use it on my old XP-laptop
with no problems). Everything seems to work fine except I can't get the
software to recognize my microphone so that I can record the voice-overs. The
microphone is definitely set-up correctly as I use it all the time on Skype and
have tested it on Windows Sound Recorder. Any ideas?

Welcome to our community, Dan

Sorry, but Captivate 1 isn't "Vista Capable". I believe only Captivate 3 is.

The bottom line is that if it works at all, count yourself lucky! Assuming
everything else works but the audio, you could record audio separately and
import it into Captivate (if you don't wish to upgrade at the moment)

Cheers... Rick :smile;
