Default Need Photo Caption method

I am working on re-doing my web page. I have MOST of it furgured out with
lots of help.

HOWEVER....

In one section I have a collection of Documents and Links and associated
thmbnoails that I want to add captions to.

I have lloked at some of the backend solutions, and some of the table
solutions, and none of them seem a good fit as I do have differnet sections,
and some of the thumbnails are of PDFs, JPGs, GIFs, DOCs and some are even
links to documents other people control.

What I would really like is some CSS/PHP/Style code snipet that turns the
"alternate" text into a centered short caption. This I could apply to the
entire page and be done.

The site is far from being finished, but the page I have (this) questions on
is:
http://www.inspectionsbybob.com/TEST..._brochures.php

Only a few of the documents in the first section are linked to the final
documents as I am not sure how to procede

Hope someone can give me some ideas...

Bob Sisson
