Hi!
I have just learned EvalScript() is not working in Firefox what is not a good news at all !!! Seems the only cross-browser way to implement Browser -> Shockwave communication is through Flash xtra. Valentin has published interesteing but bulky solution here: http://staff.dasdeck.de/valentin/lingo/dir_js/ Interesting enough is another question - has anybody here tried new Flash 'externalInterface' class in this aspect? Is it possible to use Flash Xtra externalInterface object to receive browser events through Shockwave movie container? Rgs, Ziggi |

Personnaly I would have tried Flash's localConnections, which I have
used to make browser page to local exe communications. So I guess js talking to a swf talking through localConnection to another swf emedded in shockwave could be a good solution. hth ----- Ned ----- |

Thank you anyway! Ziggi |
