Default Cannot import audio into Captivate 3.0

We created WAV files using Adobe Audition. When we try to use the Import >
Audio feature we get the following error:
Unable to decode and import the selected WAV/MP3 File.
I am able to listen to the file through Windows media player and Windows sound
recorder without any issue, I just cannot get it to import into my Captivate
project.

any ideas on what we can do?

Welcome to our community, Eric

Try ensuring the WAV is PCM encoded. This is easily done using Windows Sound
Recorder. Just open it up, then open the suspect WAV file. Click File > Save As
and click the Change... button. Then simply click the OK button followed by the
Save button.

After you do this, try importing the file into Captivate and it should work.

Cheers... Rick :smile;

We tried that but got an error in Sound recorder saying it could not convert
the file. It would play it just fine, but for whatever reason could not change
the format. Anyhow, we got around this issue by exporting the audio files out
of Audition as MP3's and these files imported into our Captivate project
without any problems, so we were able to move on. Thanks for responding.
