Default Colors in FreeHand

When I opened a Freehand document, the color mixer went to all zero amounts but
the area below the four color slides became a magenta-like color (with all the
values at zero, this color should be white). Also all the colors in the color
list then became shades of magenta. When I slide the values to the right, they
all remain shades of magenta.
Any suggestions on what to do?

This happens sometimes in Windows. I don't know what actually causes it but it has something to do with color management.

In XP it my be fixed by
- Removing incompatibe icc profiles from the system. (by guessing)
- Deleting FreeHand preference files (make a backup copy first)

In Vista by
- Replacing very old kodak dll-files with newer ones. (can be found with Google search)

In my Vista computer the colors were like that from the start. Replacing dll files fixed the problem.
