HI! We are trying to remove a portion of a picture to inlay another picture
into the spot removed. We have tried cutting and erasing but neither are working...are we doing something wrong? Can someone please explain how to do this? |

Place the main picture and the inlay picture on your FH page. Create a path of the shape you are trying to cut from the main picture and position it on the main picture where you want. Cut (command X in the edit menu) the inlay picture. Select the path. Use the paste inside command (edit menu) to paste the inlay picture inside the path. With that path selected, go to the properties panel and delete the stroke, then again in the properties panel select contents. You'll see a small star like symbol appear in the center of the path on top of the inlay picture. Click on that star and drag the inlay picture around until you get it positioned inside the path where you want. This technique may take a bit of getting use to if you've never used clipped paths before. |
