I don't see it in the about box. so where is it?

Win MX has it in the splashscreen. Also it is in the program file properties, version tab. In Mac file info probably has version number too.

Version number should always be in the about box.

On Windows, I think it only shows up on the initial splash window...NOT the
about window.
