Default freehand mx on mac to freehand 10 on pc

does anyone know how to open a freehand mx file (created on a mac) in freehand
10 on a pc?
there's no file extension on the document and i keep getting a message saying
the file isn't a valid freehand document!
any clues?
the pc is running freehand 10 on windows xp if it's any help!

Put the .fh10 extension on the filename.

already tried that and i get the same message saying it's not a valid freehand file

For MX it should be .fh11 but FH10 will not still open it.

Only way is to first export as .fh10 from mac.
