Default Corrupted file

I'm on a PC w/ FH-MX and recently saved a 20+ mb file and now cannot open it.
I receive a dialog box that says, ""could not complete your request because
this file is not a freehand valid document". ..."

I tried opening it from the program, double clicking it in the file in
Explore, renaming the file, is there anythg else any one can thk of that might
help....;-(

:shocked;

Unfortunately the file is probably lost. Now and then FH users with the same problem post here but I have not heard about success yet.

Did you have embedded images? In general it is better to link since embedding just increses the file size and makes it more vulnerable for errors. The same applies to documents with a lot of pages. I do not know if it is the Aldus legacy since PageMaker had similar problems.

J

Thank you for the post (and the very sad news). I guess I was hoping for a miracle....;-(
