Ok I'm using 11.02.2. We are using Suitcase, but when we open jobs and usually
its Helvetica it subsitutes it for Times but doesn't tell us the fonts are missing. Also sometimes it looks ok on the screen but prints out in Times. Should we have something loaded or something turned on in the preferences. When you convert to paths and then print everything is alright. Wondering if someone could help because it is so annoying and we seem to be having the problem in Freehand only thanks H |

I have, possibly, the same problem. I have what I consider to be identical
workstations (Mac Pros), one at home, one in the office. Both running Suitcase Fusion 12.1.5 and Freehand MX 11.0.2. Artwork created on one, when opened on the other, renders text in Times although it doesn't warn of missing fonts. The inspector pallet says the font is Times, although the Text toolbar is blank. The problem seems to be related to font names. On one, the font shows an underscore between the font name and the style. EG> "Syntax Bold" vs. "Syntax_Bold". They're not faux styles, as in all cases they're just chosen from the font menu. I believe all settings on both workstations are the same, but it only affects Freehand and not InDesign. Any clues? Anyone? |

> I believe all settings on both workstations are the same, but it only affects Freehand and not InDesign. This is because FreeHand and InDesign read different font name fields. I do not know solution to the actual problem, other than copying the font file from the other computer and installing it exactly the same way. Jukka |
