Default Response to CS3 features post...

:disgust;
Sorry if this response is a bit tiresome....but I'm so fed up with the current
state of vector graphics that I'm ready to throw in the towel, change careers,
and become a slave to the pixel!

Anyway.....here's my rant to a very recent post which read as follows.......

""If you've used Freehand and have or are making the switch to AICS3 then I'd
strongly recommend you do cos they've managed to listen to people and have
included quite a few of freehands features including colour management ie
finding and replacing colours, ""

and my rant....

Finding and replacing colors???????????????? I'm Sorry....but BIG
DEAL!!!!!!!!! As long as we've been asking for the "Find and replace graphics"
feature that Freehand has had since what....Version 7 or 8?????.....I'm not
real impressed!!!!!
Geeeeezzzzzzzzz.....is it that hard to find a software programmer who can add
that feature????? or am I the only GI on the planet who finds it one of the
greatest features since sliced vectors?:disgust;

Ughhhh...I feel like freaking Picasso!!!!!!!! only I want to cut off more
than an ear!

I hope you know FreeHand better than the history of art.

wnekmaps,
since you mixed up such a well known thing as Van Gogh's ear, are you sure
that you are using Illustrator? Look under application info, I wouldn't be
surprised that your genius vector program is Corel.

wnekmaps,

I dont get it. This forum has been complaining that Adobe should either give
FH second life or change Illy to be more like FH. Now that Adobe begins making
concessions to update Illy to be more like FH (not exactly like FH) , you go
batty. Surely the people in this forum dont expect that Adobe will do
everything just exactly the way they demand?

Adobe is making concessions, that is good and positive. Accept it for what it
is.

Maybe if you cut your ear off like Van Gogh and send it to Adobe they will
know you really would like to hear from them.

Didn't VanGogh send an ear to his girlfriend so she would know he wanted to hear from her. Thats the story I heard....on the Benny Hill show. :^)
