Default Why not run Freehand on my machine?

Hello,
Please help me. Initially, I installed the Freehand 11.0.2 and I could not
open.
My PC has Windows XP, I have a good processor and memory.
Does anyone can tell me how the Freehand back to normal?
Thank you.

Have you used FreeHand previously in your computer or have you just installed it?

FreeHand should run in XP and Vista. At least they do in my computers.

Do you have a lot of memory residend programs running like virus scanners, font managers, other system utilities, etc.? As buggy FreeHand is it may have a conflict with some other program. Also if you have customized your system layout by changing system font etc. FreeHand may not run.

Try for example staring Windows in safe mode. If FreeHand runs then you'll know the problem is caused by another program, driver or alike.

FreeHand is very sensitive to font problems so it may be a font issue too but usually this happens in opening old files with missing fonts.

Windows has a bad habit of collecting all kinds of unnecessary junk especially if you have installed XP over older system. Eventually only solution is to format the hard disk and to install Windows to a clean computer. But this is of course the last resort when everything else fails.
