I have a flex application that works on Linux/Firefox and
Microsoft/Firefox/Explorer with Flash plugin 9+ but it is not working at all on Solaris(SPARC)/Flash9/Firefox3. As it so happens, this is the platform the application must run on in the end of the day so i am finding myself in a pickle at the moment and totally at the mercy of the elements. How can I go about finding the fault. Is Solaris supposed to be a seriously supported platform and should it work the same as Linux/Microsoft ? Any support will be greatly appreciated |

With hindsight my description was a bit useless but you are also correct in
wondering if i can say anything more, cause i can't. the application does not even start up. When accessing the URL, firefox freezes for a minute or so and after profuse clicking and swearing one succeeds in killing it. Sometimes I see only a background color in the web browser area resembling that of a standard styled flex app and sometimes it gets as far as showing the vanilla flex progress bar up to about half-way but it never gets further. From there on, things take a turn for the worst and the desktop freezes until one gets firefox killed. I can make a tarball with the app available if someone has a solaris platform and can verify that it is working there. |

I will appreciate that. the app requires a back-end to do anything useful but
if at least it can load in your browser up to the point where the user must login it will be helpful feedback. Do you use SPARC or x86 ? How can I get the app to you ? |
