Default Complex Object Arguments to custom mxml component

Flex Builder/mxml compiler allow you to do the following:

<mx:HTTPService id="myService" url="/someUrl" useProxy="false" method="POST">

<mx:request xmlns="">
<argA>{myTextA.text}</argA>
<argB>{myTextB.text}</argB>
</mx:request>
</mx:HTTPService>

Is there a way to get custom (non-ui) components (in this case, writen in AS3)
to have similar support for dynamic binding of multiple elements of an object
to different [Bindable] data sources?

Any guidance is appreciated!

Cheers
