Default How to Detect Application Closing

I have a Flex client running in a web browser. How can I tell that the flex application is being closed so I can cleanup resources that might have been open?

thanks

Can you point me to somewhere that provides information on how to do something like this? I can check for how to detect it with JavaScript, but how do I tell Flex?

Thanks
