Last I looked, there were only three companies selling AIR-compatible code
signing certs, the third being Comodo. There was uncertainty about whether using one of their certs would actually result in a green checkmark in the installer because they're not a top-level provider: they chain from Thawte, and it wasn't certain that the AIR installer would follow the cert chain up to someone it trusted. So, I got a Thawte cert and haven't looked at the issue since. If you decide to roll the dice, let us know how it comes out, okay? ![]() |

I took the published directory that AIR created and used Inno setup on it. In
installed programs my company name appears, plus I have put a key in from Inno. The customer has to have AIR 1.1 installed. I still don't see what certifying does other than Thawte and VeriSign get richer for doing virtually nothing. What do you think? |
