Default Access properties of swf created with pdf2swf

Hi all-

I am new to flex, I have been using pdf2swf to convert multi-page pdfs to swf
files and then load them in adobe flex. I am able to load the files correctly
with SWFLoader but not access the properties to advance the frames (play,
stop). I have been scouring the internet for a way to do this that I
understand.

I have tried doing something like:

var mymovie:MovieClip = MovieClip(myloader.content);

and then using

mymovie.play();

which I can't seem to get to work.

Has anyone here done this successfully. If so, could you give me an example of
how this is done?

Thanks,

Cameron Bracken
