Hey Phrankie,
I' ve done a lot of studio work in the past with midi (Cakewalk circa 1988!),
but I've never read anything about demand for using midi in a web application.
I can tell you are frustrated, but there probably just isn't enough demand
among clients for Flex developers to respond to. Just guessing.

But you are not alone; there is hope! Check out this link to an on-line
petition to Adobe to provide MIDI capabilities in Flash:
