Hi,
My Flex app uses web services that require authentication prior to the swf load. (Don't ask why - that's not the problem). So I, first, must authenticate in a new browsing window - and then open the swf application using the same browser sessionid. In debug mode, I costumed my Firefox to always open new tabs when called. Now I must debug using Internet Explorer - and I checked the "reuse windows for launching shortcuts" and enabled the tabbing.... Nothing works - whenever I run the flex debugger using IE - it will always open a NEW INSTANCE of IE. So to my question ? how can I make the flex builder launch debugging on an already existing Internet Explorer instance? Thanks, Gilad |

Never seen this before, but doesn't mean it's impossible.
I'm still trying to understand what's happening, though. Seems like you are launching a Flex app in debug mode, then from that Flex app you are launching a second app, is this correct? |

Not entirely.
I first open an IE instance to authenticate in a certain way (which I'm forced to) to the server side. This is not Flex at all. It's just for secured authentication. Without this, my Flex app will not be able to retrieve any xml's from the server. So after I authenticate, I don't need the authentication site ? only the browser's sessionId of the particular IE instance. Therefore ? I must launch my Flex app in that specific IE instance ? or else it just won't work. So for my question ? How can I make Flex Builder launch an application to an already existing IE instance? ? If someone has an answer to this ? the rest is easy pizzy. Thanks guys. Gilad |
