You'd embed a Flex app in a web page just as you would any Flash content,
basically. Flex compiles to a SWF file, which runs in the Flash player. As long as facebook allows you to add Flash content, you should be just fine. FYI- a Flex "widget" usually refers to a stand-alone desktop application created in Flex, but compiled to run in Adobe AIR, not Flash. Hence the confusion in terminology. I looked at the url you provided and it is simply a SWF file. They are simply saying it can be embedded in a web page which contains other content, and this is true. Just remember: Normal Flex applications run in a web browser, AIR applications do not. But they both are created in Flex. |
