I like to start my AS files by adding all the import statement of all the items
I know I am going to need. However, if I forget one and FB is nice enough to add it form me, it tends to delete a couple of mine (seemingly randomly, except for Alert...It hates that one). Is this a 'feature'? Is it a bug? Can it be stopped. I appreciate adding ones on the fly for me, but my apps are striking errors since it deletes them for me. |

For instance, if you're using Flex Builder to edit the AS file of a Flex component created with the Flex Component kit, Flex will take out the MovieClip import statement... |

Then it's a feature *with* a bug. There's probably a ticket in JIRA already
(below link). I think I recall seeing something like this happen but it's not a regular thing for me and I probably shrugged it off at the time. |

@Ansury - Sometimes it makes sense to learn to do things without the tool in
the event the tool is not available then what? Dreamweaver will generate code for you but just because it does should you? And is the code clean that is "generated". -Westside |

lol - The tool's there to use, please don't lecture me. Besides, there's
nothing there to learn, it's just a couple of import statements. The Eclipse Java plugin organizes imports just fine and it's a big time saver, FB's should work the same, ideally. |

And here's another noob question:
Does the FB3.2 compiler ignore unused import statements in both AS and MXML files? I'm always going back and removing unused import statements manually when cleaning up my code-is there a better way? |

WestSide - but I don't disagree with you fundamentally regarding understanding
how things work under the hood, which I assume you are trying to get at. I still prefer "notepad" or such for html edit.. even if something cleaner than Dreamweaver or Frontpage ever comes around, and so on. |
