Default DateValidator problem

Hello,
I'm using DateValidator in my application.
I wrote a custom formatError message like "Please insert the date in the
correct format".
But, when an error happens, flex writes "Please insert the date in the correct
format dd/mm/YYYY".

I don't want flex to append the input format to my string! How can I get rid
of that?

Thank you very much,
best regards

Default Re: DateValidator problem

Hi,

You might have to override the validateDate function in the DateValidator and
change the error message being returned when the length validation fails. You
can look out for wrongLengthError string in validateDate function. This is
where the error string is being set.

Hope this helps.
