I'm using AdvancedDataGrid to show my data. Some of the data is too long to be
seen entirely in a data cell. I can drag the cell wider to show them entirely.
But is it possible to show the entire data in a small popup window when the
mouse is over or clicked on the data cell?

I think dataTips already do this...?

The dataTip shows on all the cells even it is not needed when the cell is wide
enough to show all the data.

I only want to see the poppu dataTip window when the content is too long for
the cell. Is it possible?

I think the way it's _supposed_ to work the way you think, but IIRC there
might have been a bug reported in this. Are you using the latest build of
Flex 3?

There have been two dot releases since Flex Builder 3 was released. Did you
get them?

I just did an update within FB. It should be current now.
