Default flex-java integration problem

hi,
can anyone help me with this? i'm creating web crawling application and
decided to use Flex for the front end, which java logic at the back. The java
code opens a connection a different web page. It's here that it hangs. Are such
calls prohibited by Adobe's Flash?

Once the request has left the Flex code and is in Java space, Flex is not aware
-- and doesn't put any restrictions on -- what happens in the Java space. It
must something with your connection on the server side that makes it hang. What
do you see when you hit the same URL in a browser?

Got it working...turned out that problem was actually with the blazeDs. removed it and used LCDS instead. flex is a beauty!
