I am new to flex programming. I wonder can flex MXML file take input paramters like CGI script?

An MXML component has no constructor, so no, it cannot take parameters.
However...if what you're trying to do is pass parameters into a flex
application, yes...that can be done. You do so using the html wrapper that
invokes your swf file. You do so using the flashVars parameter. Check out

Hi,

Thanks! But it is embedded statically in the html file. I wonder is there a way that I can pass a dynamic value such as customer id to the swf file?

Yes, you can. What I would do is that passing encripted id and/or password through url linking.

You'll need to modify your html wrapper to recieve your parameter(s).

Hi,

Thanks for reply. Sorry for more questions. I just start to learn flex.
The html is generated by flex builder so is there a way to change the html
wrapper in flex builder or I need to write the wrapper myself?
