Default Microphone in the latest beta

Hello,

I'm using the 10.0.12.10 flash player on Ubuntu 8.10 with all latest updates.
Cannot get my microphone working in the following conditions: my photocamera
is connected via analogue port to my tv-tuner card. This combination is my
"web-camera". No problems with video in flash ? the player identifies
everything correctly.
But the microphone doesn't work. It works fine in other software (skype,
audacity), but the input level indicator (and peers as well) says no sound. The
mic is connected to the mic-port of my SBLive! 5.1 sound card.

I think i tried all sliders in the mixer and switched to default all input
devices available with no luck.
I remember that yesterday i was broadcasting via mebeam.com service and people
did hear me a little, but then it stopped working with no visible reason.
Where to look to figure out what could be the cause of the problem?

Thanks!!
