Default Flash button navigation

On my main timeline, I have a movie clip (Movie1) with a button on it. I need
to navigate to a specific frame on a timeline for another movie clip (Movie2).
Movie2 is a movie clip inside a different frame on Movie1. Can someone tell me
if a "child." function is the correct action script for this? If so can
someone provide me the correct AS for this button action.

Thanks

Movie1 and Movie2 should have a name in (Properties - Instance name).
Assuming that button on Movie1 is on the movie, not inside the movie, that
both movies are on the same timeline, and that you want to go to Movie2 frame
5, for example.

Button on Movie1

on(release){
_root.Movie2.gotoAndStop(5);
}

Hope this helps.
