Default Importing AI files into Flash

Hello!

I've been importing AI files into Flash CS3 and I'm noticing that the .fla
files are getting quite big. I've been importing the files as "Flash Layers",
but I'm not editing the files or manipulating them in any way in Flash. They
are just static images, but there's a lot of text I'd like to keep vectorized
and easily readable.

The question is: Will I see smaller .fla files if I import the AI files as a
"Single Flash Layer"?

Thanks!
