high end export... check
anti-alias... check normal text like arial... check looks like garbage... check what's the deal? If I'm saving a graphic with Arial text, system or smooth anti-alias, and exporting is as a png 32, the highest setting possible... why should it still look terrible? For example, look at this rollover image http://204.9.76.17/images/nav_floating/surgery_over.png. some may thing that looks ok, but it's really not up to my standards. any advice on this? and I would rather not double the size and squeeze it, which to me seems like a cheesy workaround that doesn't help that much. There has to be a way to get truly crystal clear sharp looking text with no jaggies, glows, rings, smudges, or a look as if a gaussian blur filter was added to the image. does photoshop do any better then fireworks? Sorry... i'm frustrated. |

I don't know what the rest of your design looks like, but you might want to consider html text and CSS for this type of rollover. if you're working in illustrator, the text looks absolutely perfect. of
course, when you export the image, you're in the same boat. is there any way to make text look like it does when you work in illustrator for the web? |

You can try working at a higher resolution. -- Linda Rathgeber - Adobe Community Expert http://www.adobe.com/communities/experts/members/8.html -------------------------------------------------------------- |

You could also try the CS4 Beta version of FWs, which is free to owners of
legit CS3 version. The text is supposed to be better as CS4 uses the Adobe text engine now.
