Default explorer 8 problem fireworks

on http://www.track-of-the-tiger.com/ viewing it with all other browsers is
fine but with explorer 8 on windows xp the nav bar i made has unexpected
whitespace between the buttons, anybody got an idea what i did wrong ?

It looks like you used the HTML code that Fireworks produced. That's your
first problem, as that code is fragile. It's only intended to be used for
mockups and prototypes. Your second problem is that every new browser improves
on it's CSS support (or doesn't) and what worked before (even by accident) may
or may not work in a new browser.

When you go to build your site, you should build a solid one in Dreamweaver.
If you don't know enough HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build the kind of menu
system you want, then you should buy a solid, professional one. The menus at
Project VII (http://www.projectseven.com/) are commonly recommended. The other
advantage to using a professional menu is that it is designed by people with a
full understanding of CSS and it is tested in multiple browsers. I'm sure that
if the Project VII menus have any incompatibilities with IE8, they will be
addressed quickly.
