Hi,

Since yesterday, almost every time I open Fireworks, I get the hand cursor, and cannot select any other tool.

I tried deleting my preferences, to no avail.

Any ideas?

Are you working on Widows Vista with the Aero theme enabled? If yes,
then try disabling it.

Hi, I've had this problem along with a few others who have posted it here,
for some time now. I am at a complete loss as to why it happens. It is very
annoying and I have lost a considerable amount of time trying to find a
solution, to no avail.

However If I shut down my machine completely and restart it, thankfully the
problem goes away, for me at least. So I recommend you try that.

Hi buzz1919,

Are you also working in Fireworks CS3? Or you have migrated to the newer CS4 version?

CS3 on Windows XP. Rebooted, no change.

I guess my only option is to reinstall my OS, as re-install from my CD did not help.
