Default rectangle and ellipse

Hello All
I have downloaded a trial version of fireworks.
I am having a few issues, hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
When I draw a rectangle and specify a border sometimes I get only two sides
sometimes three,
Also I cannot find the ellipse button anywhere
Thanks in advance

You don't tell us which version of FWs you've downloaded? I guess it is CS3.
For the stroke problem first make sure you are viewing your rectangle at
100%, at lesser percentages the stroke sometimes dissapears. If this is not
the problem I suggest you zoom to a higher % and see if the stroke appears.

If this still doesn't work I suggest you read the thread below (Stroke
Option Confusion) posted on the 26th and see if any of those suggestions
help you.

The Ellipse button is located by Hovering over the Rectangle button which
should produce a drop down menu with all the other shapes available.

If you press and hold the mouse button down on the "square" tool, the
circle/ellipse tool pops out as an option. I'm not sure what you mean with the
border issue? Is your zoom level set at 100%? Can you post a screenshot of your
problem?
