I have a font called P22 Zaner on my computer that for some reason
won't render properly in Fireworks (CS3 or 8). When I use it in Fireworks it looks like there's a mask cutting off parts of the letters, specially the right side of the last letter on the word. When I use the same font in Illustrator it renders properly. I am curious if anybody has seen the same and if there is a "cure" so I can use it in Fireworks as I need to. Thanks in advance, FayeC |

Each character in font is contained within a bounding box, which is used to determine how much space is allowed between characters. In some fonts the actual outlines defining the characters extend beyond the boundaries of their box. The tail of an uppercase "Q" is a common feature that might extend outside the bounding box. Fireworks displays only the parts of the character that are within the box, and not any parts that might extend outside the box. You can try hitting Return to add some extra space. If that doesn't work, convert the text to paths. The text will no longer be editable, but the ascenders and descenders outside the bounding box will appear. -- Linda Rathgeber [PVII] *Adobe Community Expert-Fireworks* -------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.projectseven.com Fireworks Newsgroup: news://forums.projectseven.com/fireworks/ CSS Newsgroup: news://forums.projectseven.com/css/ http://www.adobe.com/communities/experts/ -------------------------------------------------------------- |
