Default Help with form validation messages

Not sure where I've gone wrong here, as I've done others where it works.

If you look here at the contact form here, if you fill in some fields, but miss others out, and hit submit, the validation messages appear correctly, and don't effect the fields already filled in :

However, if you look this one, when you hit submit with some fields missed, the messages appear correctly, but the fields that were OK get wiped :

<http://www.a1fabandpowder.co.uk/contact.php>

I can't see what I've done differently - if anyone could point in the direction of what might be causing this, that would be much appreciated!

Oh well - seem to have fixed it. Not sure what was wrong in the end - but I did it again from scratch and it seems to be OK.
