Default COMPLETELY CONFUSED

In order for people to see my problem you will have to visit my site.

The background does not show up on windows XP based internet explorer. However
on Vista it shows up fine.

I urge anyone to view my site with the latest version of IE for Vista and the
latest version of IE for XP.

The results are completely different. On XP the background is non-existent.
Anyone know what is causing this and the remedy? Please help I dont know what
else to do, I have tried everything.

The site is WWW.DigitalSorcerer.com

I have never encountered this or anything like it in over 6+ years.

-Regards, :-\

Start by validating the page. You've got 2 opening head tags as well as other serious errors.

I guess to make it consistent across all browsers. So now it doesn't look good on any browser that I tried.

The problem (FYI) was with the graphics, and not the code. I appreciate the
helpful responses but if your going to cast your opinion do it somewhere else.
Ive had countless people tell me my site looks fine now.

Dont bother replying if all you got to say is foolishness.

Proving once again there is no accounting for taste.

BTW the word you are searching for is "you're" not your.

This is my favorite part of the homepage, " I am also advanced in web
design"

Can't help but wonder what the OP is smoking. Can't be legal. ;-)

Welcome to the internet. When you post your website for experienced web
designers to look at, you are going to get some critical reviews. Get used to
it.

>Ive had countless people tell me my site looks fine now.

I'm sure you could count them on one hand.

>Dont bother replying if all you got to say is foolishness.

No foolishness, just facts. Here are the problems you should be looking at.

* You refer to yourself as advanced in web design expert, yet the site is
build completely with AP Divs and contains numerous html errors. As a result,
the site does not display properly. I don't know how much experience you have,
but you are operating on a beginner level.

* You say you are a graphic artist, but you don't seem to have a basic
understanding of color and shapes. Why on earth would an experienced graphic
artist choose link colors that are practically invisible on the background as
you have here: http://www.digitalsorcerer.com/services.html

* The site contains numerous grammatical errors giving the appearance you are
not well educated.

* You are using Flash buttons; why?

* The majority of content seems to be delivered via multi media - with the
caveat that the visitor needs to have at least Cable internet to view. This is
completely impractical for anyone looking for your services. In fact, it took
more than 30 seconds on a T1 connection to load any of the content. That's
longer than anyone is going to stick around for.

I know this sounds harsh but really, we are trying to help. The site as it
exists now it not suitable to promote yourself in your field and will certainly
turn people off.
