I have a site defined that has a remote connection. I checked out the files I
need to work with and now I need to add some files (not images - php files) to the site that already exist on my drive. I can't figure out how to add the files to the site from within Dreamweaver (I have CS3, by the way, if that matters). I probably could add them in Explorer and refresh the files list in DW, but I know there's got to be a way to do it from within DW. Thanks for any help! |

Just paste them into the local root folder. DW will find them.
Are you the only person working on this site? If so, you do NOT need checkin/checkout enabled. -- Murray --- ICQ 71997575 Adobe Community Expert (If you *MUST* email me, don't LAUGH when you do so!) ================== http://www.projectseven.com/go - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.dwfaq.com - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources ================== "capella07" <webforumsuser@macromedia.com> wrote in message news:gceb9c$kol$1@forums.macromedia.com... >I have a site defined that has a remote connection. Thanks, Murray
Yes, I'm the only one working on the site, however, it's "live" and I just wanted to have that added protection to make sure I don't muck something up & ruin the "live" version. Regards |

Don't worry. Checking things in and out doesn't protect a solo user at all,
and adds considerable overhead to your operations. Just turn it off. The only way you'll get in trouble with it off is if you also had automatic PUT on Save enabled in your site definition, and you save a file with the wrong filename. CI/CO wouldn't protect you from those kinds of mistakes. -- Murray --- ICQ 71997575 Adobe Community Expert (If you *MUST* email me, don't LAUGH when you do so!) ================== http://www.projectseven.com/go - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.dwfaq.com - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources ================== "capella07" <webforumsuser@macromedia.com> wrote in message news:gcgigo$il9$1@forums.macromedia.com... > Thanks, Murray > > Yes, I'm the only one working on the site, however, it's "live" and I just > wanted to have that added protection to make sure I don't muck something > up & > ruin the "live" version. > > Regards > |
