Default Please rate my site

hello, i have almost completed this site for a friend.

i would appreciate any opinions and ideas you may have.
i have a couple of links to finish, and will probably be replacing the spry
menu with a cssmenu , but apart from that, it is pretty much done.

so if anyone has any code, or design opinions, please let me know.

the site is http://www.malcmabe.co.uk/sueindex.html

The top left image of the woman has a very rough edge.
Centered test is harder to read than left-justified text. I would use it
very sparingly.

I agree with Walt. Your color pallette just doesn't go with one another. I
would use some of the colors in your sunset image for your background, sidebar
and container. I would also change the red color of the headers. The layout
is fine.

i sort of agree with the mismatch of colors comment, but because of the nature
of the site, soft pastel like colours are the order of the day, which don't
really appear on the sunrise banner.

i want to keep the sunrise banner though, as this is metaphoric, i.e, a new
day, a new start.

do you have any colour suggestions?

Then pick colors from the sunset and reduce their brightness and saturation
values (HSB color model). You get nice soft, muted tones that are completely
harmonious with the sunrise image.

Hello,

The size of the text in the menu bar is difficult for me to read compared to
the content text.
A larger contrast to the background color may help a bit, but it's pretty
small.
~900x700 browser viewport, IE7, text-size: medium & FF text-size:"normal"

Take care,
Tim

a quick way to create a color palette from an image (and the actual menu
options will vary depending on the app one uses) is to take the image and
tile/pixelate it - depending upon the size of the tiling/pixelization you
do, you'll get varying sizes of color blocks. This is not my site, but it's
a quick demonstration of what I mean.

You also badly need to spellcheck.
For example:

HYPNOPHERAPY
Welcolme to 2008!
