Hi,
Sorry posted in HTML section and reposted here as thought this was more appropriate place for query. Not having the budget to pay for a website to be developed I set up my own using some helpful templates and tutorials (www.actionresearch.ltd.uk). Only problem is that none of the images or backgrounds are displaying and am not sure what is wrong. All images are saved to an "Image" file in the public directory and as far as I can tell the codes are right (see attached code). Can anyone shed any light? Attach Code <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><!-- InstanceBegin template="Templates/index.dwt" codeOutsideHTMLIsLocked="false" --> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> <!-- InstanceBeginEditable name="metatags" --> <title>Action Research - Home</title> <meta name="Keywords" content="" /> <meta name="Description" content="" /> <!-- InstanceEndEditable --><!-- InstanceBeginEditable name="head" --><!-- InstanceEndEditable --> </style> <!--[if IE]> <style type="text/css"> #outerWrapper #contentWrapper #content-fullwidth { zoom: 1; } </style> <![endif]--> <style type="text/css" media="all"> <!-- @import url("styles.css"); --> </style> </head> <body> <div id="header"> <div id="headlinks"><a href="index.html">home</a> |   ;<a href="about us.html">about us</a> | <a href="experience.html">experience</a> | <a href="contact.html">contact</a></div> </div> <div id="topinfo"> <div id="topinfowrap"> <div class="leftinfo"> <p class="title">Action Research Limited</p> <p class="detail">Specialist research support for local authorities and the third sector <a href="about us.html"> Read more about us...</a></p> </div> </div> </div> <div id="outerWrapper"> <div id="contentWrapper"> <div id="content-fullwidth"><!-- InstanceBeginEditable name="maincontent" --> <h1>Our services</h1> <p><font size="3">Developing the evidence base for service delivery is fast becoming not just good practice, but essential practice. Hi Ken,
Sorry I think I'm missing something. The Images folder has a capital but the image code reads img src="Images/nchlogo.jpg" - so also caps? Plus why aren't the pages displaying any of the background images (i.e. <div id="threeboxtop"> <div class="threeboxleft"> Sorry if I am being dense - only started using DW a week ago. Thx |

For example on your About us page, the code for the broken image reads:
http://www.actionresearch.ltd.uk/images/me.jpg It is not an uppercase I "Benji L" <webforumsuser@macromedia.com> wrote in message news:g8f46t$3s9$1@forums.macromedia.com... > Hi Ken, > Sorry I think I'm missing something. >The Images folder has a capital but the image code reads img
src="Images/nchlogo.jpg" No it doesn't. Ken is right. The images are in a folder named "Images" but your source code at www.actionresearch.ltd.uk is referencing them as "images". Fix that and it will work - I just tried it. |
