Default preview images

hi, i wish to know how i can preview the image in dreamweaver.
i put the images on my server, and i give absolute link to my image that stay
in my server.
in the dreamweaver i do not see the image, only a gray box.
how can i change this, that i can see the image in dreamweaver.

Which DW are you using? If DW8 or CS3, you can use VIEW | Display External
Files.

Link to them on the server, e.g.,

<img src="http://www.example.com/images/foo.jpg''...

But I'm not sure if that's what you are asking when you say "preview the
image".

no no, i dont mean this. i mean after i put the <src> tag and link it to my
file on the server.
it so not see the image in DW8 i only see gray box.

but if i take a picture that stay in my computer, then i can see the preview
of the image.
but when it is on the server i can't see the picture

I'm also having this problem but in Dreamweaver 8 I don't have the "VIEW | Display External Files" option.

Would this option be anywhere else?

Oh - it's been so long since I used DW 8, I guess that I had forgotten that
this capability was only added in CS3. I think.
