I am using dreamweaver and want to create a small side window on the page where
short text quotes appear. The quotes need to change every 5-10 seconds and I
would like them to fade into the next one if possible. Obviously the quotes
can in some form of file or table.

It will appear on different pages and I want different quotes to appear first
when different pages are loaded,
I can't find an extension that does this. I am not even sure what this
feature is called.
Any advice of being pointed at an extension or feature would help.

Pictures and not text... but similar idea on a page I am developing at work...
uses Javascript to rotate pictures in an area at the top... the JS is public
domain, author is noted in the actual .js file

Yes, you can have text scrolling every frew seconds. i don't know how towrite the code but I have seenthis type of desgning .
