I cannot see what advantage this will give you in any way. What is wrong
with Enterprise Manager that can be put right by using Management Studio? "Art" <lee_nospamification@artjunky.com> wrote in message news:fr60cb$ht$1@forums.macromedia.com... > Ok, I'll look for the express. Thanks |

I can see options for local but not for my server that is outside my network. I have an ODBC set up for it but do not see that connection as an option. Thanks |

I just create a new server registration and put the server details in, like IP address in the Server Name field, select the type of Authentication, enter the details and away you go, just like with Enterprise Manager. I use a different port for my SQL server on my website to avoid the usual SQL hack attempts, so I have setup an ODBC connection with that port number, without this, I can't connect. Steve |

OK, got it working...
IT's very different. When I connect to the server sql 2000 I see a list of all the sites that are hosted on that server. That's normal. My database is way down the list and with the Enterprise manager, all I used to do was hit "s" and it would take me to the databases that started with "S". Now, when I do that, a warning pops up that I am not able to click on that database (if it's not mine). 1. Can I "hide" all but my own using the new manager? 2. Or, can I default to my database so it automatically opens my database? |

Too much to learn right now; I'll have to stick with Enterprise Manager
for now. I'll have to come back to this later. Looks interesting though. Just curious, where is the data import function? I can't seem to find that. |
