Default variable frame rate with PhysX

I understand that variable frame rate should be able to be accomplished using
#automatic instead of #equal and I have seen reference in NVidia's forums that
this should work....but does it work in whatever version Director has
incorporated into it? I am trying to sync up the physics update rates to
whatever my graphics rate is (this can be variable depending upon hw
capabilities and other tasks on the system). Anyway, I tried playing with it a
few weeks ago and wasn't able to get it to work so I am wondering if it really
is functioning in this version of PhysX.
