Default Connecting/Publishing IWeb Page to Existing Website

:confused;Does anyone know how to connect or publish an iweb page to an
existing html website with Contribute--without using mobile me or .mac? I am
told that you publish the iweb page to a folder and then download it to the
website--but I am also told you need an intermediary like Cyberduck. But I was
wondering if there is an easier way with Contribute?
