Default Deleting HTML Snippet

Help!! Does anyone know how to delete an html snippet? I inserted it and now
want to get rid of it but I can't. I have searched knowldege base and forums to
no avail. Am I the only one who has had this problem?

1. In the main menu go to >File>Actions>Edit page source in external application
2. In the external app. find the code you want to remove and delete it
3. Save the file
4. Return to Contribute and publish the page
