To post pictures onto our website I copy them from their folder on my computer
and paste them on the correct page. I have never had a problem with this until last week. For one particular property the pictures will not show up. If I look at the posted (not working) picture's properties it comes up as the folder (my documents/current listings/residential/455 culver #7) instead of a website like the others. It is only for this property because I posted other pictures on the site and they still work just fine. If someone could let me know how to fix it, it would be much appreciated. Thank you. Go here to see what I mean... http://millpondrealty.com/forsale2.htm The home in question is a little less than 1/2 way down the page. |

You can fix this by diving into the source code and adjust the img tags:
<img src="file:///C|/Documents%20and%20Settings/User1/M y%20Documents/Current%20Listin gs/Residential%20Listings/Culver%20455%20#7/Web%20 445%20Culver/160IMG_7701.jpg" width="160" height="120" border="0">, with the right path to the file on the server (if it's uploaded at all). But first I would try to delete the images and try to insert them again and see if the problem persists or that it was a onetime bummer... |

I have tried to delete everything and start over but it still came up with the
same problem. They aren't uploaded anywhere (to my knowledge) so I can't just go in and change the link. I wonder if there is something wrong with the pictures that only these aren't working. I tried to save them in a different file and reupload but that didn't work either. I'd hate to have to go out and take all new pix. |

Try next steps:
1. open Contribute, in the main menu go to >File>Publish file from my computer 2. browse to the image(s) and publish them to the right folder (images in your case) 3. now they are uploaded you can insert the images in your page from the webserver |

Your problem is that you have a pound symbol (#) in either the picture name or
the folder name. You should rename your pictures and folders to use "web safe" names - no spaces, no punctuation (other than period, underscore, or dash), and the filename must have an extension (like ".jpg" or ".gif" or ".htm" depending on what type of file it is). Then insert them again. In this case, the # symbol has a special meaning in web links, so the web browser can't find the picture because it can't follow the link. "#" should only be used when you want to link to a specific spot on a page (an "anchor"), and that only works for HTML pages, not pictures. |
