I have a flash movie in which I am loading several captivate swfs (one at a
time) with buttons that use loadmovie and a target on the stage. I want to unload the captivate swf when it finishes playing so that I can see the main stage in my Flash file. I have tried using javascript in Captivate to unload the movie when a "close" button is selected, but I'm still left with the final screen in my captivate movie. Anyone know how I can completely unload the movie from the target once it finishes playing? Thanks in advance! |

Hi ja_bauer and welcome to the forums!
Since it sounds like you know Flash, you might be able use an inserted animation in Captivate to achieve your goal. Basically, the idea is to create a separate movie in Flash that calls your unload routine, save it as a SWF, and then insert that SWF on the last slide of the Captivate movie. Then, when the Captivate file is published, your code movie becomes just another layer in the published Flash file. When the last slide is reached, your code will execute just like any other layer on the timeline. People have been able to use the inserted animation technique to add all sorts of tweaks to published Captivate files. The biggest issue seems to be working with the relative layer hierarchy in the published file, but it should be doable. |
