Default Full Screen and Powerpoint background

Is there a way to have a Captivate project start in full screen mode regardless
of the resolution of the viewer? I have tried saving to Flash to "fullscreen"
but that gives me a message asking me if I want fullscreen and then I get a
minimal brower screen and the original sized screen inside... but will nothing
around it. I want it to take up the whole screen...akin to what Powerpoint
does. Possible?

Thanks again

cj

The Captivate output is a SWF. That SWF generally runs in a browser
window. That browser window can be effected by all sorts of
javascript...usually.

Both IE and Mozilla have 'kiosk' or 'full screen' modes. For example,
open a site in IE then hit the F11 key. I'm pretty sure that mode can be
initiated by JS for both browsers.

The next thing is whether you want the SWF to scale with the size of the
browser or remain a fixed size. At a fixed size, the SWF will look the
same with a big browser window around it. Scaled, the SWF will get big
and truly (almost) fill the screen...but such scaling can often
look...funny.

If you look at that code in the HTML page that is published for your
Captivate project, you can see where the SWF is 'embedded' in that code,
and should also see 'Height' and 'Width' tags. Setting those so specific
numbers sets that Height and Width. Setting those values to 'auto' (I
think) scales the SWF to the size of the browser window...

So within all that, you should find an answer - websearching should
reveal the details.
