Default Windows Explorer display not being updated

This is an odd one and not consistent.

I am attempting to record some turorials on how to use our software product
and they often include Windows Explorer windows in which I select files to open
(just like any application would do when you go to 'File / Open).

However, Captivate isn't saving the refreshed folder screen as I drill down
into the folder structure, even though it is being displayed correctly as I am
recording the session.

What's happening is as follows...

Choose 'File / Open' and the folders are displayed in a separate Windows
Explorer window. OK
I double click the folder I want to explorer. OK
I double click the next folder down. It opens and shows the contents, but when
I play back the Captivate session it shows the first folder screen again
instead of the files inside the final folder.

Has anyone come across this before please?

Many thanks

Nigel

Default Re: Windows Explorer display not being updated

Captivate takes screenshots as soon as you perform an action such as clicking a
button, but often times the application needs a bit longer to actually show the
results of that action. This means Captivate often takes a screenshot before
the application has a chance to refresh the screen with new information.

Try taking a manual screenshot (I believe the default is the Print Screen key)
after you're sure the final folder is displayed correctly and then deleting the
bogus slide once you're back in Captivate.
