I am trying to create a quiz using Captivate 3. The questions are of type
Yes/No . Is it possible to assign scores for both Yes and No answers? I tried to do it, but it is allowing me to assign points to only one answer (which right answer). We have this quiz created in Authorware and trying to see check if can do this in Captivate? Appreciate your help. Thanks |

Hi user_rav
You are correct in assuming that only points attached to the correct answer are scored in Captivate using a question slide, so if the user is incorrect, then there is a zero score for that question. If this scenario does not work for you, then you might want to consider building your own "custom" question slides where you can have click boxes or buttons each with its own point value assigned per slide, thus question 1 could have a "Yes" button worth 5 ponts and a "No" button worth 3 points as you require. Test it and see if this works for you. |

Hi Andrew,
Thank you for the quick response. I have tried your suggestion of using click boxes, it is working as needed. I have used captions with click boxes for answers. Once again thanks for your help. Now that I know to create a quiz with answers with different points, my next step is to make it look like the quiz created using Authorware. The same quiz created in Authorware, has answers as radio buttons. Is there a way we can do the same using Captivate? |

Sorry, but my knowledge of Authorware is so dangerous that I am not allowed to
even think of the program. However, in Captivate we use a lot of "smoke 'n mirrors" to simulate what needs to be seen, so the following might work for you: Using the example of 2 answers, place a radio button graphic next to each answer on the slide (slide 1) with a click box placed over each answer. Create slides 2 and 3 to look exactly the same as slide 1, but in slide 2 the first radio button graphic looks as though it has been clicked. similarly, slide 3 looks as though the second radio button has been clicked. Net result is that user clicks on option 2 in slide 1 (click box captures interaction and navigates to slide 3) and it appears as though the radio button has "held" the click or choice. |
